Just arrived ...

I'm a Sociological GeoScientist. My aim is to proactively, cheaply and effectively educate, medicate, water and through agricultural projects feed a million of the most poor in Africa within 3 years. It's a reasonably easy task -- it's the next million that will be somewhat of a challenge. The sustainable projects are with strong sociological considerations that function around asking and listening. I went to Africa 10 years ago -- loved it. The potential is extraordinary.

Just arrived ...

Dear Gogo,

A GeoScientist is fundamentally a Geologist.

A Sociological GeoScientist is one who undertakes geological activities with consideration of people and their environment.

A Geologist (in the mineral exploration and mining industry) makes people rich – these people are wealthy investors.

A Sociological GeoScientist also makes people rich, though the emphasis is upon making the landowners wealthy for decades in terms of education, medication, water,… Continue

Unbelievably enlightening and inspiring tele-seminar yesterday

As many of you know (especially if you were there), I conducted a tele-seminar with Dr. Jim Connell, co-founder and President of a Non-profit that has attracted millions of dollars from foundations and the government (including $5 million dollars from Bill Gates).

Among some of the nuggets he shared with us:

How to apply "Theory of change" to strategic planning by reverse-engineering from desired outcomes to viable strategies to supporting processes.

How… Continue

Right There In A Corner Where You Are

My original intent with the formation of the Innovate Africa Project Network was to create a community of learning and discourse to develop new frameworks for involving diasporan Africans in the development of Africa. One of the challenges I have come to understand better is that many diasporan Africans, saddled with the challenges of their immigrant lives, and the responsibilities they have for extended families and communities back home, have limited stamina for broad, activist involvement in…See More

New comers to the industry

Hi all! Firstly, thank you for creating this sharing platform for all the world (those connected of course!) to see. As a new graduate with a fair amount of work experience in the private and public sectors I have decided to dedicate most of the rest of my life to social entrepreneurship (SE). I believe I meet all the basic intrinsic values to be a potentially good SE and not necessarilly the technical and financial aspects. At the moment I would like to venture into an agricultural project for…See More
